From the first box, the wi-fi module didn't work. But I wasn't sure until after 3 hours of fighting that I wasn't doing something wrong. But thanks to this I found out that I need to set up wi-fi differently than the instructions say and I found the correct procedure. But even with this one you have to take it slow, it's definitely not a 1-minute Plug&Play as advertised. It just takes a few minutes for the "boxes" to agree with each other, during which time it doesn't seem to work.
I must commend Alza, they replaced the box without any problems.
Then it could be installed, but otherwise! It was necessary to type into the browser not http://strong.500. ap (although it is a 600 model, but even 600. ap did not work), nor 192.168.1.254, as it says in the manual. This might work if you are not connecting it to an existing network (untested). You need to find on your network what address your router has assigned to the module and enter it. And be careful if it's really the right device. It said Powerline, but the MAC address doesn't match the one on the module! (Whether it should be, I have no idea, I'm not an IT guy, but it confused me. ) Then you can get into setup and even there the SSID will be different than the one in the manual (but that's probably a detail).
It works without problems on another circuit (for me behind at least 2 breakers! - in the garden), even behind a few extension cords.
It cannot be installed according to the included instructions and the correct one is not even on the manufacturer's website.
