I switched to it from an r5 3600 because my RTX 2070s wasn't keeping up in CPU intensive games like Apex, causing jerking at critical moments. Overall, I would recommend it if you primarily play games on the PC and do otherwise less CPU intensive work. Due to the price, it is only interesting for games and only for users switching from another processor to the AM4 socket.
The best gaming processor on the AM4 platform.
It is not demanding on cooling.
Price/performance ratio
Unless you already have an AM4 platform, it's not worth going for it.
If you are looking for a whole PC, it is better to go for AM5.

I bought it in combination with Endorfy Fortis 5 Dual Fan and I am extremely satisfied. The processor heats up quite a bit, but the problem is usually waste heat and not the processor temperature. If you have a cabinet with good air flow, you don't need to undervolt anything etc.

Perfectly adequate for gaming, older platform means lower board/frame costs, just nowhere to upgrade. After setting the temperature limit to 65C, the performance dropped only by about 3% which I think is a negligible difference and I don't have to worry if the processor is overheating or something. It doesn't brake RTX3070, so great

I don't need to change MB or RAM
Temperatures that are better than the 5700X which is a bit odd but I really don't mind: D, I was just afraid I would have to buy a stronger fan for the Dark Rock 4, luckily I don't have to I'm just happy; )
Not in all games the benefit is visible, for example in TLOU it is a mockery, but there it is the fault of incompetent developers not the processor
