Ubuntu Linux: compilation of a custom driver is required. The instructions from the enthusiast directly on the TP-Link website work, but difficult for the layman and impossible without internet access (via LAN cable). Take this as a warning, it is not a product defect.
Compared to Wi-Fi Dongle much better reception and thus internet speed
