SAS is an innovative generation of SCSI storage systems, increasing efficiency and improving their availability.Expands the parallel SCSI hard drives and one of the main advantages of this technology is the possibility of integrating a 3.5-inch SAS drives with Serial ATA units in one device.This option offers exceptional flexibility and scalability.Full-duplex architecture ensures that storage facilities supplied data to the host system at the same time, when host system sends commands to other storage devices.Dual-port architecture allows easy integration type of fail-over.Host and storage systems are connected by dual paths and data are constantly available even if some components fail.Other advantages asdata integrity, reliability and the ability to connect up to 16,256 disks into a single domain.Drives with this interface will find application asvysokotransakčních in database and applications for high availability of data, but also for archiving data and backing it up.
