It fits well on the HDD, it also has a pocket for about a cable.
Unfortunately the pocket is at the bottom of the cover. So you can either put that WD log down or use the pocket for some smaller documents at most. For me, it's not a glitch at all, as long as the HDD is a bit protected and the cable is right next to the HDD.
