The oven is the absolute top in this price category. It suffers from a huge amount of untapped potential (the manufacturer could have added a rotating attachment for grilling chickens, a scale under the flatbed to read the weight for automatic programs, or could have made it smart, to be able to create and save your own programs via your phone), but these are all things that are technically manageable, but no oven on the market has them, so I guess I can't blame Sharp yet, and in five years I'll see it in another oven. The lack of a rotating plate and touch control will probably take some getting used to, but it brings the undeniable advantage of easier cleaning, so I'll be happy to try it too. The only control element I'll probably have problems with in the long term is the touch start button - the oven always needs to be unplugged when wiping the front panel to avoid accidental start-up, and then I'll probably always need to re-set the clock (I don't know, I don't address it - I don't use a clock, but some people might mind). At least for that reason (and because it is the most used button on the oven) it would be nice to have it as a physical button - e.g. in the middle of the rotary dial like other electronically controlled microwaves.

The large interior space ensures e.g. convenient heating of a whole pizza or baking a large square baking dish with lasagna
Electronic control provides a precise timer that does not lengthen as the spring fatigues
outdoor smooth surfaces are easy to maintain
the inner flatbed is much easier to wash than the classic swivel-plate composition
As with probably all multi-function ovens with convection, the oven does not have all the walls straight, but there is a hot air cover sticking out the back, which must be taken into account
