The Evolveo Omega T2 is a new-generation multimedia recorder with support for the new DVB-T2 broadcast standard with H.265 compression, also known as HEVC. Compared to the DVB-T (H.264) broadcast, HEVC provides more efficient encoding that reduces data flow while maintaining the same visual quality. The receiver is of course backwards compatible with the H.264 codec.

The device enables playback of multimedia from flash drives or external disks in MKV, DiVX, MPG, MP3, MOV or JPEG formats.
