Quality lids; are all semi-matte black and have a chrome ring in the centre; they are made of high quality plastic that looks like it will last (not that brittle plastic like on cheap pans).
Because the polkice are black, you can immediately see the dirt on them - brown dust; the wire, which is on the back of the lid, is poorly welded in a circle, the weld is not nice, but it does not affect the function.
