The device controls and menu navigation will probably take some getting used to - after all, user-friendliness or intuitive operation is a matter of opinion. So I'll stick to the facts of personal experience, if you want to buy the device because of the promised SCRIBD library support then think carefully! If you're already using the library, the pre-installed app will probably force you to log in with your Facebook account. If you try this, you'll find that Facebook doesn't support the pre-installed browser and simply won't let you log in - there's no point in trying to update it, but there is a way to make this go away. Once you do and load the first books you find that they all have "bad line spacing" (they just end up sort of in a corner with variable line length - like the paragraphs are aligned diagonally - you'll understand when you try it). The solution to this is supposed to be an "update", so you turn on GOOGLE PLAY and try it - however, you will learn that the device is not "certified" and the new version will not work. They're right, so you better not even try it because then both the library on your device (which wouldn't matter so much because it's really unreadable) and the one you might be using on your mobile (it stops recognizing your existing paid account) will stop working. Have a lot of fun with Chinese tech support.

I wanted a reader with Android to borrow books from the library, and I was very interested in the pen on more expensive models. I bought a 7.8 “Nova Air and a bit of a disappointment. Pretty good at reading fiction, but the idea that I would scribble notes in technical literature took hold. Terribly small on PDF. I ordered the 10.3 “Note Air 2. The PDF was so borderline to use, but it was still small, inconvenient for me. With the original case, it is also extremely heavy (approx. 700 g) and the reader pulled out of the case very poorly. The worst choice for me.
On the third try, I ordered a 7 “Leaf and the reader is great. 7 “is fine in fiction, the reader is beautifully light, it doesn' t hurt your hand even during longer reading. Because it is so light it holds so beautifully in the original magnetic case. Unfortunately, Alza does not currently offer the need to buy elsewhere. The Nova Air is bigger and heavier, and at times I felt a little uncomfortable not to look out of the magnetic case. Note Air 2 is already so heavy that it didn' t even go into the magnets and they solved it mechanically with a click. Terrible cover for me. It holds up beautifully in Leaf.
For some, the absence of Google Play can be a problem. Since the eInk display does not meet Google' s ideas of what the display should look like for Android devices, Onyx Boox readers are generally not certified by Google, so it is not made by Google Play, but you can add it there. I coughed it up. I installed one APK for borrowing books from the library there myself and I don' t need any more. I don' t want anything to disturb me while reading.
It also freezes the absence of dictionaries. One has to look somewhere on the internet for dictionaries in StarDict format and upload them there. It freezes with a relatively cheap Leaf, but with higher models, it definitely bothered me for the money.
For me, this squirrel is clearly the best choice of the three models mentioned.
