One must look carefully at the instructions and realize that when attaching the glass to the display, it is important to focus on the top and bottom protrusion, which fit exactly into the hole and center the glass in both axes, and then let the glass touch the display.
The fitting kit is really great when used correctly. It fits perfectly.
I recommend to do the assembly in the least dusty environment possible - e.g. in the bathroom after a hot shower when the air is saturated with steam/moisture.
